About A.R. 15
It all started on the West Side of Chicago on Monitor and Augusta. William Harris (A.R.) at the age of 7 knew that he had a musical gift. With limited access to recording experience or equipment, he used a portable radio and recorded on blank tapes and continued to developed his skills as he recorded over the instrumentals to Run-DMC’s “Down With The King” and The LOX’s “Money, Power & Respect”.
In 2005, he grew as a raper . By this time, he had gained more knowledge on recording and had a wider variety of instrumentals to work with. He was able to set up a make-shift studio at his friend and former band mate Kaos’ house using the program Magix Studio. He later moved the studio to his house and began using the program Cubase. Over time he added better equipment to his recording space to ensure better quality for his rhymes. At this time, he still didn’t have original beats, so he contacted B-Rud, a friend of Tim-A-Key, to assist him he and B-Rud began to make a coupe tracks together.
In 2007, K-Flika’s sister, Christina Avant was the manager of C-squad which was a rap group including AR, K-Flika, Tim a Key, and Kaos. She attempted to throw a large party to showcase the group’s talent, but it was unsuccessful. This caused a major blow in the group’s faith in music as well as in each other. As a result other members decided to part ways from C-Squad. In 2008, A.R. moved to Las Vegas for five months. In early 2009, he returned to Chicago with a new style of rapping and producing. However, he suffered another blow when he parted ways with Kaos. He met Otis Richmond AKA “O.T.” of Richmen Entertainment. Otis Richmond was a close friend of A.R.’s brother, Corey, and was familiar with his history. He instantaneously fell in love with AR's sounds and style and immediately became his manager. He made the decision to make G-Ball a solo artist leaving A.R.15 a solo artist as well…..AR was born! AR wrote and produced his hit album "The Take off". His greatest qualities are making up lyrics that reflect everyday life and situations happening in the hood. When he raps about the hood, he makes you feel as if you were there. he is currently finishing his album and mix-tape called Takin Ova under the Richmen Entertainment label. keep on the look out for AR as he is one of the most confident talented rappers today.
